A Review posted on Amazon:

I have been so blessed by reading this book. There are days when I worry about managing a busy schedule with kids, and I open the book to a part about praying about your schedule and slowing down. Another day I find a message about how to deal with times when a child is sick, just when I need a little extra strength. This book is a great help to mothers with children of all ages, and I highly recommend it.

How will you spend your summer?

Dear Friends,

I can’t wait until school’s out! Oh yes, I’m eager for the usual reasons: summertime fun, relaxation, and playing with my daughters, but also because I’m back in the classroom on a long-term sub contract and I want out just like the kids!

How will you spend your summer? How will you relax, refresh, and renew? Do your summer plans include the beach, a hammock, swimming, or traveling to exciting places? According to Psalm 74, God created and set the boundaries of the seasons. So summer is a great season to renew and refresh spiritually, too!

The day is yours, and yours also the night; you established the sun and moon.
It was you who set all the boundaries of the earth; you made both summer and winter. (Psalm 74:16-17)

Blessings,

Ann

Where and when can you carve time to meet God and create spiritual memories to last beyond the summer?

Here are a few suggestions for summer relaxation, renewal and refreshment. Perhaps try one or two

  • Relax in God’s love. Remember that no matter what you do or don’t do this summer, God still loves you.
  • Do something different. Shake up your routine or else start a new one if you’re in a dry place. Start simple and small; your time with God can grow.
  • Find a Bible study that is portable. So many Bible studies now include the scriptures within the study itself. AMG has the Coffee Cup series, which is wirebound and easily slips in your purse. Plunge into the Word and find hope and refreshment in His promises and treasures.
  • Try a daily...[read more]

Ann Recommends:

Summer can be a great time to store up for winter. What spiritual food can you store up this summer to reap a harvest of blessings for the winter? I can’t wait until school’s out to experience summer refreshment and renewal. And I hope to then be refocused for the seasons to come.
