God's Unfailing Love
by Ann Stewart

A horse is a vain hope for deliverance; despite all its great strength it cannot save. But the eyes of the lord are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love. (Psalm 33:17-18)

In the NIV Bible, the term “unfailing love” comes up 32 times. Let me share a few:

How priceless is your unfailing love! Both high and low among men find refuge in the shadow of your wings. (Psalm 36:7)

But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation. (Psalm 13:5)

Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,” says the lord, who has compassion on you. (Isaiah 54:10)

Hold onto that promise. God’s unfailing love for you will not be shaken!

Worth Reading
- Ann Recommends:

Root Out of Dry Ground

My kids love being read to. When we don’t close out a day with reading and snuggling, we all miss out. One book we’re reading now is Root Out of Dry Ground by Argye M. Briggs. We also loved A Dog Like No Other by William MacKellar. These are less familiar titles but quality stories with a lot of heart.

I love discovering little-known books that would otherwise be unavailable for my kids. Why not ask a grandparent, uncle, friend what their favorite childhood book was. And no matter your children’s age, enjoy a winter snuggle with good read-aloud to start a wonderful tradition in your family.

Counting Your Valuables...

Dear Friends,

Did you lose any money during the past few months? Did moths, rust or thieves diminish your financial status? (Matthew 6:19-20) Is your 401K looking more like a 201K, your house the same size but of less value? Is your kids’ college fund making higher education seem out of reach? Do losses make you also feel like you’re worth less?

You may never gain back what you’ve lost, but consider what you can never lose. You have not lost God’s love for you. His stock in you has never gone down. God’s love for you is unfailing. Read this month's devotional for more reassurance.

Blessings,

Ann
