Preparing My Heart for Advent: A Spiritual Pilgrimage for the Christmas Season
After Thanksgiving, I take a deep breath and fly into Christmas. I play my favorite Christmas carols, haul out boxes of decorations, and schedule our family traditions and events. I may plan to make Christ the center of Christmas, but when I wait until December to focus on celebrating His birthday, I become entangled in Christmas lights, holiday baking and festive engagements, often wondering if I’ve experienced that illusive “true meaning” of Christmas.
Perhaps the holidays can be holy days if my heart is prepared in November.
Preparing my Heart for Advent is a five-week women’s Bible study for groups or individuals, which can be done during the month of November. The intensive study is followed by devotionals for December through Epiphany, January 6th. On the weekends pause and study a song, symbol, and suggestion. Carols, symbols, and holiday decorations will take on new meaning and you’ll gain practical ideas to share the Christmas story. This is not merely a holiday how-to guide; this study helps you focus on the heart preparations for Christmas.

Preparing My Heart for Easter: A Woman's Journey to the Cross and Beyond
Prepare for a new celebration of Easter by walking beside the women who met Jesus. Discover what it was like to experience great hope, great loss, and great joy!
Over and over in the Easter story you will see the women. The women traveled with Him, followed Him, remained at the cross, came to the tomb, prepared spices, first heard the Good news, first saw the resurrected Jesus, and then helped form the early church!
Join me as we journey to Jerusalem. We’ll begin our journey before Ash Wednesday and conclude the week after Easter. We’ll focus on Jesus' last week on earth and the women who followed Him. There are five daily lessons per week plus weekend devotionals that center on Easter hymns. A helpful six-page leader's guide with discussion questions and music suggestions is included.
The study may be completed any time of the year, but for those who want to use the study during Lent, begin on the Monday prior to Lent and conclude the Sunday after Easter.
